United Churches Honors Drug-Free World Foundation with Global Human Rights Award


On September 30, 2022, Dr. Bernard Fialkoff, president of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, Americas Chapter, was among the distinguished leaders honored with the United Churches Global Human Rights Award in Washington, D.C. The event, led by former Harlem Globetrotter and United Churches Chairman Bobby Hunter, recognized individuals who have made significant contributions to human rights protection and community improvement.

Other notable awardees included Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, president of the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL); Bishop Acen Phillips; Ali Gedikoglu, President of COJEP International; Dr. Charles Olawole, president of the Pan African Unity Summit Group; and Hugues Sanon, UN Representative of COJEP International. The luncheon aimed to foster unity and solidarity among leaders dedicated to promoting human rights and global peace.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, encouraged everyone to pursue truth, protect human rights with love, and defend justice with conscience. Dr. Hong presented each awardee with a Conscience Scarf and Compass Clock of Conscience, symbolizing time, direction, and goal, guiding people toward the right path in life.

The event provided an opportunity for leaders like Dr. Fialkoff to collaborate and inspire kindness in people worldwide while working together to defend human rights and justice.
